    Tamra Owens

    College: Oakes

    Major: Business Management and Economics

    Tamra Owens served as the Vice President of Student Life from 2016-2018. Her relentless leadership and commitment to the welfare of the student body motivated her to create the SUA Food Pantry. The Pantry first opened in the Spring of 2017 and since then, has continued to provide over 2,000 pounds of free food to students a week.

    Tamra is still a resident of Santa Cruz where she now continues her commitment to community while working at a non-profit that provides affordable housing, employment services, and counseling to adults with psychiatric disabilities.

    Hey guys, I’m Dilen! I’m an undergraduate student here living at RCC. I go by He/Him/His and from Southern California. I’m a business major with a minor in economics and looking into doing something in the medical field. I enjoy doing anything to help out the community and love the atmosphere here. I’m part of a local multicultural fraternity and can’t wait to see everyone who comes by!

    Hi everybody! My name is Walter Barnaby and I go by he/him/his pronouns. I am a first-year History major affiliated with Cowell College that is hoping to pursue a career in teaching one day. I spend my spare time going to the gym, listening to music, hiking, cooking, thrifting, and exploring Santa Cruz. I look forward to getting started and meeting everyone!

    Hey everyone! My name is Nathan Marin and my pronouns are he/him/his. I am a second-year Psychology major and am also pursuing a minor in Legal Studies. I grew up and attended school in Southern California and have lived in multiple cities throughout Los Angeles and Riverside counties. I am a member of the Sigma Phi Zeta Fraternity and enjoy participating in philanthropy events here in Santa Cruz. I look forward to seeing you all stop by the food pantry!

    The volunteers are in charge of being able to check-in students who want to use the pantry. They directly report to shift leads for any pantry needs and questions. Shifts are up to three hours. If you would like to be a Pantry Volunteer for the 2022 Spring Quarter, please fill out this survey to apply. You will receive an email soon after with more information and about your training day.
