The SUA Food Pantry is currently hiring Shift Leads for the 2021 Fall Quarter. If you are interested in applying for a position within our office, please go to the UCSC ER system at http://www.careercenter.ucsc.edu/ers/erspub/main.cfm?action=non_workstudy. There you will find the full descriptions of the jobs and their requirements.

  Major: Business Management and Economics

  Tamra Owens served as the Vice President of Student Life from 2016-2018. Her relentless leadership and commitment to the welfare of the student body motivated her to create the SUA Food Pantry. The Pantry first opened in the Spring of 2017 and since then, has continued to provide over 2,000 pounds of free food to students a week.

  Tamra is still a resident of Santa Cruz where she now continues her commitment to community while working at a non-profit that provides affordable housing, employment services, and counseling to adults with psychiatric disabilities.

Volunteers

• Apply Here

  The volunteers are in charge of being able to check-in students who want to use the pantry. They directly report to shift leads for any pantry needs and questions. Shifts are up to three hours. If you would like to be a Pantry Volunteer for the 2022 Winter Quarter, please fill out this survey to apply. You will receive an email soon after with more information and about your training day.
