SCOC Tracker Position

The SCOC Tracker Position is vital as a means to update and understand the activities of committees here on campus. A Committee Tracker does not actually hold a seat on a committee, but rather gathers information about the purpose of a particular committee or clusters of committees, the meeting times and places, as well as the public information and updates about what has happened with the committee or committees.

The Tracker Position has two forms determined by a point system. Individual committees are worth one point a piece. Any single student may not exceed five points of tracking committees. The second option is to maintain a committee cluster, in which case you may not exceed one cluster of committees.

Working hours are variable and determined by the student appointed to the tracking position. However, if they maintain individual committees, we will expect more specific information about the committees in order to have it made available to those interested in taking a seat on the committee along with any student who has inquiries about the activities of a particular committee. Cluster trackers will focus more on the broader issues covered by that group, but any specific information they can provide will be welcomed.

The position will have a separate application process available on the SCOC website and will be appointed by the SCOC Council at their monthly meetings.
