The Student Committee on Committees exists to handle nominations of student representatives for standing campus advisory committees. This committee also exists to ensure proper student representation to these various committees by recruiting representatives, providing training and orientation services to representatives and committees, and acting as a forum for cross-committee communications.
SCOC General Membership is open to any registered UCSC student. Public meetings are held weekly, and anyone is welcome to attend and become a member. The general membership then elects the SCOC Steering Committee.
The SCOC Council members are appointed by the college student governments, and are compensated for their time spent in Council meetings. The council has sole jurisdiction over the actual appointment of students to committees.

We are no longer accepting committee applications for the 2007-2008
academic year. If you are interested in serving on a committee, we
highly encourage you to apply for the 2008-2009 academic year. We will
stop accepting applications on May 29, 2008.
NOTE TO CURRENT COMMITTEE REPRESENTATIVES: Please remember that if you'd like to continue to serve on your committee next year you are required to re-apply by May 29, 2008!!!
