Chair
The Chair is the leader and principal spokesperson of the SUA, and the main facilitator of all meetings. The Chair also acts as a non-voting, ex-officio member of all SUA committees, subcommittees, and task forces, and also fulfills a number of other duties, which include:
- holding weekly office hours
- preparing a monthly evaluation of the SUA with constructive criticism and notes for improvement
- attending weekly meetings to ensure communication and collaboration between delegates
- working to create an effective budget for the next academic year, to be approved by the SUA in the Spring
- carrying out any other duties set forth in the constitution or the bylaws, or assigned by the Assembly
The Chair may also serve on other UCSC committees (e.g. the Academic Senate or Alumni Association Council), or appoint another officer in his or her place.

Internal Vice Chair (IVC)
|
The Internal Vice Chair of the SUA is responsible for the oversight of all internal assembly operations, including the appointment and oversight of all students on campus-wide committees, and the oversight of all academic and campus-related issues. The IVC and the Commissioner of Academic Affairs work closely to support the needs of the students on campus, in all administrative and academic issues. The IVC's duties also include:
- coordinating internal campus campaigns
- assisting (and when necessary, acting as a substitute) for the chair
- serving as Chair of the Student Committee on Committees (SCOC)
- organizing student participation in all campus-wide committees, boards, and task forces (including academic senate and administrative committees)
- overseeing the appointment, tracking, communication, documentation, and orientation of the student representatives on campus-wide committees
The IVC oversees various SUA positions, including the Director of Internal Affairs, the Executive Vice chair of the Student Committee on Committees (appointed by SCOC), and various paid and non-paid interns.

Commissioner of Academic Affairs (CAA)
The Commissioner of Academic Affairs is charged with communicating with the UCSC and UC System-wide Academic Senates, representing the SUA on the Committee on Education Policy, assessing general student concerns, and providing information and resources towards their resolution.

External Vice Chair
The External Vice Chair deals directly with the issues that affect UC Santa Cruz on local, state, and national levels. The EVC is primarily in charge of organizing lobbying efforts, campaigns, conferences, and national and statewide associations to inform, educate, empower, create awareness, and initiate dialogue among students.

Commissioner of Diversity

The Commissioner of Diversity primarily deals with coordinating anything and everything that deals with issues of diversity, from issues of Hate/Bias, to Title IX. The Commissioner also maintains communication with campus resource centers and their directors, and a number of campus organizations, including:

Organizing Director
The Organizing Director (OD) is responsible for organizing students and the campus overall. As OD I will be present at every action on campus. I will also be well aware of issues that students are organizing around, and will definitely be involved in organizing on different movements with students side by side. The OD Office will also be organizing the volunteers and outreach for every SUA event, action, or campaign. Ultimately the OD office would be the student power behind the student voice!!! Power to The People!! ALL POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!!!
